    Hiba Shahid

    Team Leader

Hi, my name is Hiba! I am the lead for our Heart Phantom Design Team under BMES (PhantomCor for short). My interests are focused in nanotechnology and biosensors (I have an electrical engineering minor), and my favorite branch of medicine is cardiology! I also work on research focused on designing and testing a post-infarction cardiac biosensor.

    Craig Soares

    Member

Hello, my name is Craig and I am a sophomore in BioE working primarily in modeling the relationships between various parameters in the human heart (such as heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) and applying them to our heart phantom to make it a more effective model. Outside of PhantomCor, he's involved in a neuroscience lab researching how the brain processes speech.

    Monika Kizerwetter

    Member

Hello! My name is Monika and I am a sophomore in Bioengineering. I am a member of PhantomCor's Heart subgroup helping to expand our model to a four-chambered heart. I am interested in tissue engineering as well as brain and ovarian cancer research, and conduct research focusing on developing new immunotherapies to be used in ovarian cancer treatments in Dr. David Kranz's lab on campus.
